David Heo: Demon Time presents a limited edition of fifteen ashtrays designed in collaboration with Brooklyn-based ceramicist, Ethan Streicher. The editions have been imagined to highlight the notion of both craving and desire, as well as invoke the cultural conditions surrounding the act of smoking. For Heo, the ashtray is a beautiful symbol of what smoking means as a five-minute ritual to think. Also, acting as an equalizer, smoking is a common social activity that unites strangers and enacts random conversation, which more often than not, is unfiltered and honest.
